Our Dynamic Pistol 201 course is an intermediate/advanced pistol class where students will start with a safety brief and a review of the fundamentals of pistol shooting. 

This class will quickly move on to more advanced shooting drills to improve students confidence and proficiency with their handgun at speed and under pressure, such as moving and shooting, engaging multiple targets, magazine speed reloads, malfunction drills, and more!

Pre-Requisites for this class:
Must have taken Dynamic Pistol 101 or be at an equivalent proficiency and safety level.

Our Dynamic Pistol 201 course is an intermediate/advanced pistol class that is perfect for anyone who has taken our Dynamic Pistol 101 course or equivalent, and is looking to advance their pistol shooting skills to improve accuracy, speed, confidence and proficiency with their firearm under pressure.  

Dynamic Pistol 201 starts out with a handgun safety brief and a review of the fundamentals of pistol shooting including proper grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, focus, breathing, trigger press and recoil control.

Students will quickly move on to more advanced shooting drills to increase confidence and proficiency with their handgun at speed and under pressure such as moving and shooting, engaging multiple targets, magazine speed reloads, malfunction drills, and more!

This is an all day class (10am-5pm) that will be held at Douglas Ridge Rifle Club on the Tactical Shotgun Bay.  This is an outdoor range and does not have a covered shooting area, so students will want to dress accordingly based on weather conditions. 

Equipment students are expected to bring to class are:
  • Handgun in good working condition
  • Case for your handgun
  • Chamber flag (required by Douglas Ridge Rifle Club)
  • 400 rounds of ammo appropriate for your handgun
  • Eye protection
  • Hearing protection (electronic earpro preferred, but not required)
  • Sturdy (stiff) belt capable of holding pistol and gear securely
  • OUTSIDE THE WAISTBAND holster for your handgun (should fit your pistol snugly and cover the trigger guard ->-> NO BELLY BANDS ALLOWED!!)
  • Minimum of three magazines (more is better!)
  • Magazine carrier
  • Cleaning kit, tool kit and lubrication for your pistol
  • Dress accordingly for the weather (this will be an outdoor class)
  • Hat (baseball type cap recommended)
  • Comfortable closed toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops will be allowed)
  • Camp chair
  • Sunscreen (depending on weather)
  • Food for lunch/snacks (there are no restaurants or stores nearby)
  • Lots of water
  • Pen and notepad
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn!

Cost of the class includes all range fees, targets and instruction.

The demand for this class is high and space is limited to 14 students per class, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible if you want to get into this class.
