This is perfect for staff, volunteers, and congregation members who want to build confidence and skills to ensure their house of worship is prepared for potential emergencies.
We can accommodate small groups of 4 to 8 people.

This is perfect for staff, volunteers, and congregation members who want to build confidence and skills to ensure their house of worship is prepared for potential emergencies.

Students will build a strong foundation in firearm safety, handling, and marksmanship in a calm, supportive learning environment. This introductory course focuses on core skills, confidence, and responsible firearm use, and serves as a precursor to more advanced, congregation-specific safety and preparedness training.
Training will be held at Douglas Ridge Rifle Club. Range availability varies depending on club activities and will be coordinated at the time of scheduling. Most ranges are outdoors, so students will want to dress accordingly based on the weather conditions.
Once you have finalized your purchase we will reach out to you to schedule a training time that works best for you, the range and your instructor.

- Handgun in good working condition
- Case for your handgun
- Chamber flag (required by Douglas Ridge Rifle Club)
- 50-150 rounds of ammo appropriate for your handgun depending on current skill level
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection (electronic ear protection recommended, but not required)
