Jeff provides a solid environment to gain or grow your skills. Dynamic Pistol 201 worked on the fundamentals where 101 leaves off. 101 is getting out of the holster. 201 is dealing with the practical problems we encounter in the real world including movement, distance, and time constraints. I was looking to start pistol shooting more often with a solid foundation rather than building bad habits I’d have to break later. I’m so glad I got in touch with Jeff at Hollow Point Defense. He distilled a ton of information into a gradual progression through the Intro/Intermediate Handgun class I attended. Going into the training I knew I’d learn something but I didn’t know what an incredibly fun time I’d have. The class was setup in a way that included working with other students as well as the instructor which made it really fun while you picked up skills. I’m already looking forward to the next class. No matter whether you're a total newbie, or looking to fine tune your skills with a master instructor, I highly recommend Jeff at Hollow Point Defense. Each class I've taken has built new layers of solid fundamental skills, understanding and confidence through Jeff's teaching. His experience, watchful eyes and focus on safety makes me feel like I'm in good hands, which is really helpful in staying grounded and calm. Jeff is big on details and mindset so that we don't pick up sloppy habits, and teaches methodically so that each new thing builds on the previous. It's amazing to see how much improvement can happen in just one class! He's generous with encouragement and positive reinforcement, and answers my many questions in a way that really clicks. I took the beginner pistol training class with Jeff. Even if you have been shooting for a long time this class this class is great to take. His knowledge and steps in his class boost your skills and get you shooting smaller groups almost instantly. I recommend this class to anyone trying to further their pistol knowledge and marksmanship! Jeff takes the time to really understand your issues and gives you the proper way to fix them.
